The Dainese Ladakh ladies motorcycle jacket is a great 4-season jacket from Dainese. The Ladakh is made of abrasion resistant polyester to provide the necessary abrasion resistance. CE Level 2 elbow, CE Level 2 shoulder protectors are included, and the jacket is prepared for a back protector. This jacket is waterproof thanks to a removable D-Dry waterproof membrane, so you can stay safe and comfortable even in bad weather. In terms of insulation, this jacket is equipped with a removable, thermal (full sleeve) inner lining. When it comes to ventilation properties, this jacket is equipped with ventilation zippers on the back, ventilation zippers on the chest and ventilation zippers on the sleeves.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
