The GMS Taylor 2 WP Man is a waterproof* motorcycle jacket designed for touring in changing weather conditions. The outer construction is made from GERMADURA® polyester and uses a fixed GERMATEX® Z Liner climate membrane for waterproof and breathable performance.
For colder rides, the jacket comes with a removable thermal lining. Ventilation at the front and back provides extra airflow when needed. The collar, waist and sleeves can all be adjusted, helping you fine tune the fit.
For protection, the Taylor 2 WP Man is certified according to EN 17092 3:2020 Class AA. Level 1 protectors are fitted at the height adjustable elbows and shoulders and comply with EN 1621 1:2012. The jacket is also prepared for a SAS TEC back protector, with different sizes depending on the jacket size.
Five outer pockets at the front and one back pocket provide practical storage. Reflective elements improve visibility, while the short and long YKK® 8VS connection zips allow the jacket to be connected to compatible motorcycle trousers.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
