Boasting a dedicated fit specifically developed and designed for the female body, the Darsena Absøluteshell™ Pro Parka Woman is a slim-fit jacket inspired by the style of military parkas, with hood and fishtail hem as well as several functional pockets.
Conceived for year-round urban riding, the Darsena parka blends fashionable style with quality materials, without neglecting cutting-edge technological solutions. These include the Absoluteshell™ Pro laminated waterproof membrane, which allows the garment to dry quickly and to protect against the coldest temperatures, and a detachable thermal wadding layer, which can be worn separately if needed and allows the item to be used in all weather conditions.
The level of thermal comfort and versatility embodied by this parka is matched by the protection it offers, owing to the integration of detachable Pro-Armor L1-certified protectors on shoulders and elbows – soft protectors with large ventilated surfaces – as well as a pocket designed to accommodate G1 and G2 back protectors.
The Darsena parka features a detachable padded collar and a hood that can be rolled up when riding using the reflective back band. The hood has an internal metal core that allows to tighten it around the face, creating a peak that protects against atmospheric agents (Uno Touch™ Hood Peak technology) – with just one hand. Once off the motorcycle, the waterproof and lined lower pocket will keep your hands nice and warm.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
