The multi-season Alpinestars Bogota Pro Drystar 4 Seasons motorcycle pants are engineered to deliver optimal protection, weather performance and comfort. Featuring a lightweight micro ripstop and 600D poly-fabric construction for enhanced durability, these trousers are equipped with Nucleon Flex Pro knee armor for effective protection against impacts.
The Bogota Pro Drystar 4 Seasons trousers are equipped with the Alpinestars Drystar® technical waterproof* and highly breathable membrane. The Liner to drop system allows the pants to be easily configured to the weather conditions. The Drystar liner is removable and can be worn over or under the main outer shell for real-world practicality and versatility. A thermal liner offers warmth on colder days and when the temperature rises it can be removed, in addition these trousers have a large direct ventilation panels on the thigh.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
