Thanks to its waterproof*, seam-taped membrane, the Mospher keeps you dry even in heavy rain, while large ventilation openings on the sleeves and back provide excellent airflow during warmer rides. Inspired by survival and tactical gear, the Mospher features multiple large-capacity storage pockets, including waterproof compartments, plus rider-friendly details such as a sunglasses holder loop, reflective logos for low-light visibility, and practical zipper pullers. The adjustable hood integrates a wind-protective collar and can be snapped securely to the back of the jacket to prevent flapping at speed.
For protection, the jacket is equipped with CE Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus protectors at the shoulders and elbows, offering lightweight yet effective impact resistance. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
