Lightweight 2-season tour-adventure jacket with detachable Drystar® membrane, large direct ventilation panels and CE Level 2 protectors.
The Alpinestars Cusco Drystar® motorcycle jacket is engineered for riders who demand genuine two-season performance. Designed for spring and summer tour-adventure riding, it combines lightweight construction, advanced ventilation and a removable waterproof* liner in one adaptable package.
The main materials blend recycled ripstop and durable 600D polyfabric with stretch softshell panels under the arms. The result is a jacket that feels light and flexible while maintaining abrasion resistance where it matters. In the riding position, the pre-shaped sleeves and ergonomic hem cuts move naturally with you, reducing tension and improving long-distance comfort.
Ventilation is a key strength. Large direct ventilation panels on the chest and back unzip and secure open for maximum airflow, while long zippered arm vents boost circulation through the entire jacket. When temperatures rise, you benefit from a highly efficient airflow system. When conditions change, everything closes quickly to seal out wind and rain.
The removable Drystar® membrane delivers waterproof* and windproof protection. With a 7/6k mm waterproof rating and 15k g/m²/24h breathability, it keeps rain out while staying breathable. You can wear the membrane inside the jacket or over the top, and when it’s not needed, it stores neatly in its integrated carry pouch.
Protection is handled by Nucleon Flex Pro CE Level 2 shoulder and elbow protectors, offering high-level impact protection without restricting mobility. Adjustable waist and sleeve straps secure the fit, while the soft comfort collar with shock cord adjustment improves sealing and riding comfort. The jacket is also prepared for an optional back protector insert.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
